Front Yard Hydrangeas

This hydrangea is unlike any I have ever seen. It reminds me of Christmas peppermints. The bush is also different than most others.

Ken and Brenda told us we could have this hydrangea if we were willing to dig it out of their front yard. It has taken a few years to come back to size because I trimmed it too early one spring.

  1. Beautiful!

Am I the only one who always thinks of that scene in It's a Wonderful Life when I hear the word hydrangea? The one where George is about to kiss Mary after the school dance where they fall in the pool and she runs off and he's stepping on her robe so the robe comes off and she jumps into the hydrangea bushes. Oh, it's so good.
