Indoor Rainbow

This rainbow went from this....

to this in a matter of seconds. Still a good reminder of God's promise not to destroy Earth by flood again.

Childhood Toys

Coming from a large family has great perks, but it also has a downside. I have not one of my childhood toys. That's the reason I have saved almost all of James and Kristen's playthings. Pinocchio belongs to Julia but since I was in Italy with Diane and Dink when they purchased it I feel I have a connection to it, albeit minuscule.

Dark and Light

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it ~ John 1:5

This tattered white book on top of the bottom red book is the catechism book belonging to James and Kristen's great-grandfather. Its copyright is 1879.

Jewelry

I am following Kristen's suggestion to take a photograph each week based on a given theme. I have decided to start with this week's theme and work my way back to week one.

Isaac

So taking a turn in the nursery has its perks. The light is horrible, the rug is dirty, I haven't mastered my D40, but one takes the opportunities that arise. This is Isaac, a 7 month-old who is one of the happiest kids around. I know, I know...I should have taken a photo that captures his happy countenance.

Tweaked in photoshop which I also have not mastered.

Reflection

So I stayed up most of the night babysitting our pool pump during a rainstorm that dumped 7" in one night. It was awesome. On my way to the bathroom I saw this reflection. Yes, I know...a thorough dusting would be a welcome addition to the scene.
