The 1st photo would have been more effective if the window frame on the right wasn't there. The second photo has a "je' nei say qua" (spelling?) to it. The only thing that might have improved it would be putting the candle in the frame a bit differently. But it would be trail and error to find the best composition (on my part).
I agree with Kristen. The second photo a really nice. The shadow looks like a cool painting or drawling. I would frame that shadow and put it in my house.

ReplyDeleteI like the warped shadow on the second one and how the shadow of the wax curl looks a little Tim Burton-ish.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate the guidance James and Kristen. the phrase is "je ne sais quoi" meaning "I don't know what".

ReplyDeleteTim Burton! That's the perfect description, Kris. "Jack Be Nimble" as in "Jack Skellington."
ReplyDeleteI love the lighting in both shots.
